Marjorie A Magnussen was born May 1, 1923 at Dinsdale, IA, the daughter of Felix and Luella Reuman Nissen. Marjorie received education in Dinsdale and the Traer schools where she graduated. On June 1, 1941 she was united in marriage to Dale M. Magnussen at Traer. Dale and Marge made their home for a short time in Mason City before returning to Traer. Over the years Marge worked as a bookkeeper fro the Traer Oil Company for many years as a waitress in various restaurants in the Traer community which included, The Towne House, Vesely’s Drive Inn, Lone Pine Silver Streak Lanes and the Traer Maidrite. Marge had been a resident of the Sunrise Hill Care Center in Traer where her death came on Monday, October 4, 2010 at the age of 87 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Dale on October 11, 1991. She is survived by her son Randy and his wife Phyllis Magnussen of Traer, two grandchildren, Shelby and her husband Mark Dinsdale of Traer, and Marty and his wife Gina Magnussen of Marion, IA and five great grandchildren Brooke and Blaire Dinsdale, Jack, Max and Elle Magnussen.
