Barbara Ellen Ross Fray was born January 29, 1949 in Hampton, IA, daughter of Wayne and Mildred Beier Poppe. She received her education attending school in Hudson and later graduated from LaJames Cosmetology School in Cedar Falls, Iowa. She worked as a cosmetologist in Hudson, Waterloo and Evansdale for many years and also owned and operated two local Car Washes in Waterloo (University and PDQ) with her first husband Gary Ross. In 2005 she was married to Austin Fray and they made their home at the Country View Care Center in Waterloo. Barbara's death came at the Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo on Tuesday morning August 7, 2012 at the age of 63 years. She is survived by her son Jason Ross of Creston, IA, a daughter Tammy Sutton of Ankeny, IA, 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, a sister Beverly Juhl of St. Paul, MN and her husband Austin Fray of Country View in Waterloo.
